"Startling character turns (including a double cross or two)...psychological damage, and sufficient material to ignite a series." --Kirkus Reviews

Louie Thorne was born with a dangerous gift and a reason to fear the darkness. But when her parents are murdered by the mafia, embracing her power is the only way to exact her revenge. She will destroy the men who destroyed her family--no matter the cost.

Robert King is a retired agent, and knows trouble when he sees it. First, an old partner asks King to use his connections and skills to investigate a suspicious case. Then an ex begs a favor. By the time, Louie enters the picture, King will be lucky to survive the night.

Fast-paced action, suspenseful tension, and unforgettable characters--there's everything thriller fans could want in this first installment.

My husband and I try new authors using e-books where first book is free. We’ve come across many fantastic writers that you don’t always find in hardcover books. J.Robert Kennedy,Randall Woods,Blake a Pierce, and others. This story grabbed me at the beginning and held me up to the end. We will be buying the next Lou book when it’s released. Amazing story line. Please continue with this character. Thank You Laura Kreitzer

I read a ton of these inexpensive books from book bub but I rarely go on to the next book at the increased price. I read two or three books a week and this will be the only one out of the last six months or so that I will follow up on. Lou is sort of like Anita Blake without entire chapters about her sex life. Her character could use a little more development but that’s why you write more books in a series. I’m looking forward to reading more.
